Labas dear friends and family,
Saturday was finally ready. The first event with young people from Lithuania. The management of my project organized for the students of 11 and 12 classes a small winter festival. We were fully involved with the organization and implementation. Since it was not too bad to work on Saturday. The organization took the whole last week. We collected ideas for games, prepared a campfire and perparierten the various stations. Contrary to my
Had feared, the youth were very fun and highly motivated to go out as a winner. There were 8 different disciplines. Tree bear, build egg skiing, snow sculpture, speed sledding, tobogganing art, balloon dance to rotate on its axis and then run up the hill and a small Fangerspiel .
They came at 10 am at the Directorate. First were Ramon and I presented the students. We are the first volunteers in Krekenava and so was the stir huge. Unfortunately, the communication is difficult, because few speak English. After welcoming the competitions started. I was at the egg run. Students had, armed with a spoon, a small obstacle course master. The games went by relatively quickly. The closure was to build the snow figures. I was really impressed by what's for ideas in the young.
After the games, it was all for a hot tea and a bite to eat.
I talked to Julius , Greta and Indre . The three speak good English and we will do something together in the future more often.
After the tea warm and nice Discussions, we went to school to eat lunch and from there back to Panevezys .
Conclusion: It was a beautiful morning that went by too fast. I would rather have stayed in Krekenava .
