week of presentations
Laba diena mano
Draugen,
in the last week, the presentations on Spain and Germany are held by us. Weeks of work should finally bear the harvest. We decided to make the presentation twice. The premiere was held at the office of our mentor Rasa. About 15 people followed Rasas invitation. Including a journalist who wrote an article about us in a daily newspaper. I started with my presentation, which was translated by Loreta. I show many pictures of Thuringia. Castles, Thuringian Forest, Thuringian dumplings, Rennsteig, waiting High Dam, Saale, Jena and Wernburg. When preparing and holding the presentation I realized two things. 1. We can be proud to come from Thuringia. Almost all visitors were surprised at the landscape in the middle of Germany. Furthermore, I realized something. So beautiful, Lithuania and other countries in the world. Although for me now it is clear that it was not my last stay abroad. Nowhere is it as nice as at home. I love nothing so much as my family, my friends, Thuringia and Wernburg. So go with your eyes open and see how beautiful your home it is. After about 40 minutes ended my presentation and the conclusion there was German chocolate.
Ramon was then the turn. Although I learned a lot from him about his little island, it was a very nice presentation. Although Mallorca is not very large, yet there is a lot to offer. Every time I see the sparkle in Ramon's eyes when he talks about Mallorca. Hopefully, there is the possibility to see him on visits and the other part of Mallorca. The part that is not flooded by tourists. The part that is not the money lust of entrepreneurs has fallen victim. The mountains, pristine beaches and the people. Now I am of course quite digressed.
After Ramon's presentation, there was of it handmade Soprasata. A poem! Our first cultural evening was so over. The week in Krekenava was spent to paint decorations for the presentation on Thursday. I drew two huge flags of Germany and Spain. These were suspended on Thursday and at the end signed with greetings of visitors. The presentations began at 16h. About 30 visitors were there and it made me a lot of fun to present my country. Furthermore, I made potato salad for the presentation. Love so much the Lithuanians and potatoes, that they did not know yet. This day was one of the best in Lithuania. After Ramon's presentation was followed by yet a small contribution of the students enrolled in high school. They sang for us the song: "Welcome to Lithuania" and another Lithuanian song. We concluded our presentation with the food. The people tried Tortillia English and German potato salad. Many thanks to Milda and Alina, who translated my presentation.
