The week after the Vilnius-WE we our introductory seminar for new volunteers in Lithuania. The Event went from Wednesday to Friday and was held in the small town Kulautuva in Kaunas. Full of anticipation, what to expect, so I went on Wednesday morning after Kulautva. Overall, I was not disappointed. The seminar was great and the other volunteers, and our coach were very nice. I have made many new contacts and I think that may develop during the time in Lithuania and friendships. There was a lot to tell about our country and their stereotypes;.) After the seminar, we decided to stay in Kaunas, because we had an invitation to a birthday party and wanted to visit Kaunas. That being in Kaunas, as the previous weekend in Vilnius, state of emergency. It was another big market with all sorts of Lithuanian specialties. Very nice, very strained, very cold. The week went by very quickly. On Monday we were in the cinema. There was a German film. Very nice and the admission was free. Super. I can also say that it is difficult to contact to find Lithuanians. Maybe it's because I do not speak the language. "The limits of my language is the limit of my world," This saying is true in very recent times. Even if I try to speak Lithuanian, people come not to step on me, but look at me just wrong. No idea why. When I talk about it with nice Lithuanians to push it more to the Soviet era. People are so stubborn and not open to foreigners. In Panevezys, there is almost no Foreigners, but us volunteers. This makes it very difficult, because people simply do not expect foreigners. For me, it is also difficult because I can live all the time with other volunteers. I am not so dependent on the Lithuanians. I try not to live the typical volunteer Life. We'll see how it develops in the future.
